Disneyland Paris: AHHH ITS PINOCCHIO

I had the most amazing time in Disneyland Paris especially meeting all of the characters as I'm a sucker for a meet and greet and this is one of the other main reasons I love to go to Disney.

The character interactions are just so much fun and for some reason on this trip they were just 100 times more better than when I previously went. Before I went I did have a list of who I wanted to meet but sadly I didn't meet them all but I did meet the main ones that I wanted to.

Next time I am going with my best friend so I plan on doing just a day of Character hunting and also visiting the Princess Pavilion which will be better this time as they now have a fast pass ticket machine rather than having to line up in early hours and wait for them to hand out slots.

I managed to meet Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Minnie, Mickey and Chip N Dale in they're Christmas outfits along with Marie, Thumper, Miss Bunnie, Jack Skelington at they're meet and greet spots.

I also managed to find Suzie from Cinderella and Rafiki when they were lurking around the park.

Its hard for me to say which character interaction I loved the most because I had so many amazing ones so I'll start with the Marie ...

When the Disneyland Paris program came out at the start of November and I saw that Marie was on the list I was over the moon. Usually Marie is only seen during the Halloween season wearing an Orange bow for the last few years so was a big surprise when she was been kept on for Christmas.

I made sure that I was first in the que to meet her on our 1st full day in the park, The first thing Marie did was point at my amazing handmade ears from my friend on Instagram and start touching them and doing big heart signs <3

We then did a few different poses and also I had to take a selfie! Before left and I has said goodbye Marie tried to grab Joel to make him join in a photo but he managed to get away this time later he wasn't so lucky.

So Chip N Dale were by far one of my favourite meet and greets ...

When we walked up to meet them I went and handed my phone to the Cast Member in charge both Chip and Dale dived on to my partner and started giving him hugs and as I walked up they both stopped and moved on to me before grabbing us both in for a group hug. I really don't think Joel was expecting that haha!

After we took a few photos Chip spotted my ears were based on Tangled and got all excited and stared dragging me over to the CM (Cast Member) and pointing at the pin of Pascal and then he noticed my shoes and was doing a major excited happy dance.

Before we left we had some final hugs and I told the boys that I loved them and they're my favourites and they started giving me kisses <3

Mickey and Minnie Mouse were just the sweetest and they looked adorable in they're Christmas clothes ...

As soon as we walked up Mickey pulled me in to a massive hug before Minnie was right in there mesmerised by beautiful Monsters Inc ears in which she kept touching and drawing big hears to say she loved them and even Mickey was impressed.

Once I thought we were done taking photos the cast member was asking Joel if he would like to be in a photo as a couple but as he said no Minnie over heard and wasn't to pleased so she looked at me and went over to Joel in a huff and dragged him back for a photo.

He was so tired at this point, but aye least the lady got her way hehe.

I just love Thumper from Bambi so when I saw he was on the meet and greet list this was another I had to que for and was probably the longest one actually. With Marie we managed to get there early so we tried to do the same here but they had come out early.

As soon as we walked up to the bunnies Miss Bunnie started pointing at my ears literally pulled me in close to have a look, she then started giving me kisses and drawing hearts to say she loved them.

After having a look someone was talking to us and behind me Thumper was trying to steal my ears from me, cheeky bunny.

Joel joined me in the photo for this one and when I went to stand by Miss Bunnie she wasn't having any off it she wanted Joel and Thumper wanted me!

There wasn't overall much character interaction with Donald, Goofy and Pluto but I did get a Nice Photos!

Jack was one of my favourite meet and greets as this was one of my first proper human interactions rather than someone in a suite. He sounded exactly like Jack and was so lovely and we had a good chat about my ears and where we had come from before taking some photos in which this is one of my favs!

I then met a few characters in Cafe Mickey, but I wont tell the tales of my visit there again but I did have the most amazing time and cannot wait to try Inventions next time!

Even though I didn't meet everyone on my list I am really happy with the Characters I did meet! Now Disney have officially announced that certain characters can be met everyday in different lands and which ones they are which is great to know. This means there is actually more chance of meeting people when I go next time and whats great is that a few Princesses will now be able to be met in the parks rather than just at the lunch and pavilion.

20 Christmas Questions

Oh my oh my its only 4 sleeps till Santa comes!

Who's excited? I am not going to lie but I have been excited for Christmas but not as much as I am this afternoon I woke up in the most amazing mood and feeling a lot more festive.

I came back from holiday (still working on those posts) and thought that's fine there is still 3 weeks to go but then the Friday just gone I couldn't remember where the time has gone its flew by and Christmas has kind of just come out of nowhere!

I haven't done a Christmas Tag or Questions post so here is one I got of "The Perks of Being Me"

1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate?
It has to be hot chocolate all the way, marshmallows and whipped cream! Yum Yum! I have actually just stocked up on pods for my Tassimo for Christmas Eve :)

2. Coloured Lights or White Lights?
Coloured although I don't mind either

3. Stockings or Presents?
When I was little I always used to love both waking up to see my stocking on my door was so exciting and then later on rushing down to see what presents where in my pile.

4. Give or Receive gifts?
I like to give presents as I love making the effort to find different things that people might not have seen and yet I know they will love them. I get all excited watching them open them but worried at the same time that they might not like them!

5. Angel or Star?
Growing up we always used to have the same Angel on the tree every year but now I would prefer to have a nice sparkly star of Disney tree topper

6. Open presents Quick or Slow?
I love to open presents slow, it means that you have time to appreciate each one and also if your opening them in a group it means you can see what everyone gets.

7. Warm Fires or Sleigh Rides?
Nice and toasty by a warm fire hot chocolate in hand but with it being Christmas I would rather a magical sleigh ride with the man I love

8. Snow ball fight or Making Snowmen?
Making a snowman any day!

9. Carolling or Christmas Stories?
I love both equally Stories are so magical but Carolling sounds so lovely

10. Red or Green?
Has to be Red due to my hair colour, depends on the green but it doesn't suit me

11. Fake or Real Tree?
I've only ever had fake trees

12. Were you Naughty or Nice this year?
Of course I was nice ;)

13. Whats your favorite Christmas food?
It has to be pigs in blankets and all the Christmas chocolate and sweets

14. Do you shop early or late?
I always shop early, I usually have about 80% of my shopping done by the start of November or half way through, then usually its just all the odds and sods.

15. Whats your favorite Christmas Song?
Sleigh Ride - Spice Girls version

16. Have you ever had a white Christmas?
Only once and that was a few years ago

17. Whats the best gift you have ever gotten?
That's a tough one :/ I've had so many good presents over the year

18. Can you name all of Santa's Reindeer?
I think I can hehe! Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen and of course Rudolph

19. What is your Christmas Wish this year?
That next year will be as good as this year and to make so many more amazing memories with people I love!

20. What part of Christmas do you look forward to most?
Waking up early and thinking ITS CHRISTMAS!!!! Then opening Presents!

So this is more thank likely to be my last post before Christmas is over unless I manage to get another Disney post written so if not ... MERRY CHRISTMAS and A Happy New Year!

My 2016 Goals

I'm usually one of these people who make new years resolutions and break them over 30 seconds into the New Year so this year I am going to set myself some goals, goals that I would like to achieve or just improve on by this time in 2016.

Goal Number 1: To Apply for the RSPCA

I am a massive animal lover and a job roll that I have always wanted to peruse, I've grown up around animals maybe not dogs and cats but I have other types.

I always used to walk my neighbors dogs for years and would do this every weekend and some nights during the evening, it is a dream to hopefully own my own dog when the time is right so hopefully in the next few years this will happen.

I know at times that this job will be tough but at the same it will also be so rewarding, they only do so many recruitment drives a year so as soon as the next is available I will apply. There is 3 different stages before you are actually get accepted to go and study for 6 months to a year.

Goal Number 2: Be Accepted to be a dog walker for the RSPCA

As I mentioned above I love walking dogs and this is something I enjoyed doing as child and during my work experience at school and collage. I have been meaning to sign up now for a number of years but its slipped past so this year I must and it will also benefit me in my application for the RSPCA.

Goal Number 3: To become more Healthier

I wouldn't say that my 3 main meals I have a day are exactly unhealthy its more the stuff I eat in between or in the evenings. I can safely say that 2015 has been a year of lots of chocolate, sweets, cakes and most definitely ice cream and that I have gained a stone this year or at lease 10 pound I'm not to sure.

But in 2016 I want to try and eat more fruit and veg especially veg as this is something I don't eat much of at all I am more of a fruit lover on and off than a veg lover. I also want to cut down my food portions as I eat far too much than I really should along with all the additional sugary items I eat.

So my overall aim is to eat smaller meals, more fruit and veg and to limit myself to one day where I can treat myself.

Goal Number 4: Swimming/Gym

I already exercise quiet a lot as it is cycling or walking to work and then going to the gym 3 mornings a week and once on the weekend but I feel I need to put more effort in to my sessions and maybe add some variety to my routine.

I am thinking about getting a personal trainer but they aren't cheap at all, so maybe one every month even if I can afford that. I am going to start swimming as this is very good exercise for you but also because if I want to join the RSPCA i have to be able to swim 50 meters clothed in 2 and a half minuets so this is something I want to spend time improving.

So these are my goals for 2016 lets see how many of these I can achieve by this time next year! What are your goals?

My Top 10 Christmas Films

I love the month of December as it finally means its acceptable to watch Christmas films and this is one of my favorite things about Christmas.

Every Christmas me and my mum have a tradition on Christmas Eve we will watch a Christmas Carol and have hot chocolate and open the Christmas treats until a few years back when we changed our movie to Scrooged which is still a Christmas Carol but a different adaptation which is one of mine and my mums favorite Christmas movie.

In no particular order here are my 10 movies that I must watch at Christmas:

Elf

Miracle on 34th Street

Deck The Halls

Jingle All The Way

Home Alone 2

Scrooged

Christmas With The Kranks

The Holiday

The Santa Clause

The Polar Express

What are you favorites? Immy xoxoxox

(I own none of these gifs or images)

Christmas Tree oh Christmas Tree!

Wow its only 9 days now until Christmas and only 5 working days until I finish for Christmas. I'm so pleased that I have finished and have done all my Christmas shopping and that all is left is to pick up my turkey and buy the veg.

This year its going to be a bit different as for the first time in 23 years I won't be having Christmas day lunch at my mums house, now I've moved out me and my partner are going to cook our first lunch together as last year he went home to visit family and I was unable to go. Us cooking will be interesting hehe!

After lunch are going down to my mums house for tea and to open our secret Santa presents and watch the kids open theirs.

We do Christmas differently at mine we don't all buy each other presents we pick a name out of the hat and buy a present for that person and we have a £20 limit. As we don't all have a lot of money we find this is the best way and it means we can spend more money on the children.

The Christmas tree is up with some new additions to the decorations this year from my trip to Disneyland Paris a few weeks ago along with some new ones from family. You can't go to Disney and not buy any decorations <3

I am in love with my Gingerbread decorations from Disneyland, as it is I am obsessed with Gingerbread but to go to Disney and find them in Mickey and Minnie form was a must have.

I also love my Christmas pudding ones that I got from B&M that were only 99p along with my own personalised decoration that was a present.

Christmas Day Outfit:
Usually for Christmas Day I would just wear a nice dress and do my hair but this year I have actually brought myself a Christmas Jumper! I don't usually bother because you only wear them once of twice but with it being Katy Perry's Christmas jumper from H&M I just had to get this!

I wish you all the very best Christmas, I will be sure to fill you all in on my Christmas in the new year. Immy xoxox

Disneyland Paris: Food Glorious Food

I love food who doesn't love food? I am a foodie so its very important where eat well its not but it has to have something good on the menu.

As we all know Disneyland Paris isn't exactly cheap when it comes to eating but luckily most restaurants have a set menu. So here I will tell you a bit about what I ate and what I enjoyed most.

I didn't really take many photos of the food eaten.

Planet Hollywood (1st Night):

Now Planet Hollywood is one of the restaurants in Disney that doesn't have a set menu so were undecided if we were going to eat here because of the cost but before we left my dad gave us €70 to spend on a meal so we decided to choose here.

We made the mistake of deciding to eat after Disney Dreams when the park closed at 8pm so when we got there the que was out the door and down the stairs but to our surprise we were seated with in 10mins in the downstairs area ... which I didn't even know existed.

For our starter I was slightly disappointed even though it tasted really good the lack of it for the €9 we paid was a bit annoying. We ordered the potato skins which in most restaurants you would be given 4 but here we only got 2 and they were quite small.

We both had the same main which was the BBQ burger which I really enjoyed was cooked to perfection and came with a good amount of chips costing €16.90 each. Then for dessert we decided to share the Toblerone cheesecake which was nice but I wouldn't have it again as there wasn't much flavor and this cost us €8.

All together our meal cost about €60 once drinks were added, I do love the atmosphere in here and the service has always been good. This is my 2nd visit.

Steak House (2nd Night)

It took us ages to decided where we wanted to eat on our 2nd night we were stuck between Steak House, Rain forest Cafe and King Ludwig's but after looking at some menus and reviews we ended up in the Steak House.

We ordered from they're Jazz set menu which is either a starter and main or a main and dessert for €29.99.

For starter we both went for the Prawn Cocktail which was lovely then for my main I had the Angus Beef Shank which was incredible some of the best beef I have ever tasted and cooked to perfection.

My partner had the roast chicken which we also said was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing.

I would seriously recommend going here, the price has put me off to start with but that was before I saw the set menu.

Cafe Mickey:

Now this is my 2nd visit to Cafe Mickey and this has to be one of my favorite restaurants to eat in, the food is ok but its mostly for the character interaction than for the meal.

We did the 3 course meal for €45.99 as I wanted to spend as much time in the restaurant as I could so I could meet as many characters and with it being the Christmas season it was a lot busier than when I went last year in February.

For my starter I had the Fantasia mushrooms as I love them, this was actually better than when I had them last  year they were a lot bigger and came with bread and tomatoes.

Now for my main I was being a bit adventurous and went for the sea food pasta and I really wish I had just gone with the Pizza as my partners was amazing.

The fish in the pasta was lovely but the overall taste was horrible and the pasta wasn't very nice it only tasted better when I mixed it with some Mayo haha.

Dessert was my favorite the Mickey Mouse Cupcake <3

Everything about this cupcake was just amazing, it was all edible which surprised me it did take me a little while before I decided to eat the case as it felt like wax so wasn't convinced. It was a mixture of white chocolate and blueberries with apricot sauce on the plate and a vanilla drizzle to put on the cupcake.

I would probably say this visit I met less people due to the time of year we went but I still had the best time especially as Pinocchio made an appearance during dessert.

I was such a big kid screaming his name out loud and making everyone turn around, I then proceeded on to saying to my partner I wasn't eating my dessert until he had come to our table in which I think the coordinator heard and sent him around to our tables first!

I also met Minnie, Goofy, Tiger and Pluto. Mickey was out and about but he was down the other end when we left singing happy birthday to 3 different people.

(I look awful in this photo due to the angle!)

I hear Inventions is great! I think I will be trying here next time!

Earl of Sandwich:

First time ever eating in here as last time I didn't really eat lunch but with being here with my partner this time he wanted lunch so this is where he choose.

The service in here is brilliant so simple, pick a number get given a buzzer and then you go pay and wait for your buzzer to go off to collect your food. I went for a Philly Cheese Steak which was incredible the meat was cooked just right and partner had the number 8.

Stalls in the Village:

I love the Disney Village but even more so at Christmas Time as the atmosphere is just great all the decorations, the stalls, the smells from the stalls and everyone is in just a good mood.

We did buy somethings from a few off the stalls for lunch on one of the days I had a Nutella Crepe and my partner had a Nutella Waffle and these were the best we had ever tasted and could have gone back for 2nds but at €5 each we thought we best not ha!

We also got some lovely french Macaroons which were to die for and another one of my loves in life. The flavours were incredible especially the one called Frozen Vanilla.

Slowly making my way through my list of planned posts, hope you all have a lovely week!
