Beauty And The Beast Live Action: Can I go see it again?

I have yet to write down my thoughts and feelings about the new Beauty and the Beast Live Action movie that was finally released on the 17th March after two very long years of waiting. I enjoyed it that much that I actually went to see it twice within the space of 4 days and I could easily go and watch it again.

As I'm not very good at writing reviews yet I thought I would just post my thoughts and feelings I had during and after the movie but just to warn you this will contain spoilers so please read at your own risk hehe.

The Cast? How perfect the cast were. I never doubted they're cast choices when they were announcing who was playing who they made the most perfect decision.

Emma Watson as Belle was just perfect they couldn't have picked a better actress if they tried even though some people weren't happy Emma I thought she played the part amazingly.

When ever Belle sings the reprise of Belle I just can't help but laugh at how much it looks like the Sound of Music!

Why does she have her skirt tucked in to her knickers half the time? but the other half she doesn't?

The relationship between Gaston and Le Fou! Was just perfect I don't get what people were complaining about? Its a modern day movie!

I'm probably the only one that actually didn't think Dan Steven looked all that when he transformed from the Beast. I actually preferred him as the Beast haha.

Be Our Guest was everything I wanted it to be, its the one scene I've been waiting for since the movie was announced it brings back so many feels for me and memories of my trips to Disneyland Paris and watching Disney Dreams for the first time.

The scene when they all were saying goodbye at the end had be balling my eyes out.

Luke Evans was the perfect fit for Gaston he has me laughing throughout the whole movie.

The song Gaston was another one of my favourite songs and scenes.

I love that we find out what happened to Belle's mother even though it was so heart breaking.

Belle and Beast's on screen relationship was perfect and felt so much more real than in the animation. In the animation it was very rushed compared to in the live action where I felt like we watched it blossom more.

The costumes and set designs were incredible. All of Emma's out fits looked perfect and the design of the Castle was so magical along with the designs for all the cast like Cogsworth and Lumiere,

I have to say I actually prefer the live action to the animation. They have captured everything in the most amazing ways and brought the animation to life.

It was everything I wanted it to be and so much more I just cannot get over how perfect it was!

I am toying with the idea of going a 3rd time I just cannot wait for the DVD release to come out so I can watch it over and over again.

Disneyland Paris September 2017 Series: Rides

With it only being 2 more days until the celebrations for Disneyland Paris's 25th Anniversary begins I thought I would share the next post in my new series about my upcoming trip. With my trip being in September and still a little while off I am thinking of doing one post a month about our planning especially next month when we will know what shows and parades are going to be on and in July when we are finally able to book our restaurants.

But March's post is all about what rides we really want to make sure we get done on our trip. Now I love 98% of the rides at Disney bar a couple but with it being the anniversary we have planned a list of the ones that we MUST do.

The time we are going to Disney is usually such a quiet time of the year but with the anniversary being on all normal rules don't apply as nobody knows how busy it is actually going to be hence we have made a list of the rides and that will be the same with the shows and parades so we don't miss ANYTHING! I am hoping it will be quiet so that we can get everything done and even do them twice if we are lucky but as long as I see/do it once and have a good time that's all that matters.

Disney Park
I have pretty much rode every ride in the Disney Park at least once apart from Autopia and if I'm honest I don't really have any plans to ride anytime soon as its not something that appeals to me.

Discoveryland:
Star Tours
This feels like it has been closed forever but I have to admit it has needed it that's for sure. I rode this first back in 2014 on my first ever trip and even back then even though it was amazing it felt very dated so I cannot wait to get back on here and see what has changed.

Hyper Space Mountain
It is beginning to feel like the back section of Discoveryland is slowly changing in to Star Wars land like what has been happening in the other parks. Hyper Space Mountain formally know as Space Mounting Mission 2 has been closed for several months whilst it undergoes some massive changes and transforms in to Star Wars themed.

This is a favourite ride of mine and even with the changes which some are complaining about its still going to be the exact same ride but with new effects and interior decoration. Apparently the carriages them selves are changing as now the high restrictions have changed meaning slightly small children can now ride.

Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast
How doesn't love a ride on Buzz Laser Blast its fun, competitive and always required a best out of 3 to name who the real champion is. It's even better when it breaks down and you can score loads of points easily.

Fantasyland:
It's A Small World
It's A Small World is just one of those rides that has to be ridden when in Disney where ever you are in the world. It has the most annoying song in the world that gets stuck in your head all day and never goes away. The dolls are creepy but everything is so beautifully done.

Les Pays Des Contes De Fees (Story Book Boat Ride)
Now this ride is more for Emma than myself because I have been on this before and don't get me wrong once you have been on it once you don't really need to go on it again although I am looking forward to seeing the paint job they have given it because it was looking very old and tired when I went on it but then its to be expected with it being outside in all weather conditions.

Peter Pan's Flight
My love for this ride has just grown over the years since I first rode it in 2014. I love the movie Peter Pan and the fact that you get to travel around all the scenes from the movie whilst listening to the classic songs just makes feel super cheery. I love seeing Nana at the start and flying over London but I haven't actually been on the ride since its lighting system was updated so I am looking forward to seeing the changes.

Snow White Story Ride
Another one of Emma's ride choice's which I am glad she choose as I haven't ridden this in a while as on my last proper trip it was closed and there is just something I love about going around the scenes from the movies.

Adventureland:
Pirates of the Caribbean
Another ride that brings me such pleasure has to be Pirates of the Caribbean and like the others below it is just a ride going around the some scenes from the movie but I love the sound track and singing along as you bob along. There is also two drops in this ride which makes it even more enjoyable along with the well designed sets and special effects.

It is actually closed at the moment and is due to open back up featuring Captain Jack as he currently isn't there. Whether there are going to be another major changes I am not 100% sure.

Indiana Jones Rollercoaster
I cannot wait to get back on this again in September. I have only been on it twice before back in 2015 as it was closed previously or we couldn't ride it due to back injury and having small kids with us. I hate to admit I'm not a massive lover of the films but I do love this ride.

Frontierland:
Phantom Manor
Every time I walk up to this ride I cannot help but sing "I left my keeeyyyys in the mausoleum" just because its one of my favourite bits from the movie as it holds childhood memories for me. This is DLP's own version of the Haunted Mansion ride in Florida and Tokyo and with loving the movie so much and also a little bit of creepiness in my life its just a must do and its only a simple ride as well.

Big Thunder Mountain
FINALLY after 4 prior trips I was able to get to ride Big Thunder Mountain and it was worth the wait I will tell you that. Back during my first visit in 2014 it was the only ride we were unable to do as when ever we had waited in line we would get kicked out due to technical difficulties or it was closed boo hoo.

It then closed for nearly 2 years to have a massive refurbishment and finally back in February it was open again and we actually managed to ride it without a hitch! Shame I couldn't have gone it again as we were only there for the day but damn it is incredible and I plan to get on this again at least a couple of times during my trip.

Walt Disney Studios
I have to say that other my last few trips to Disney I have fallen more and more in love with the Studios. I just love the vibe of the place and it houses some of my favourite rides.

Crush Coaster
I've only managed to ride this 3 times with the wait times being ridiculously long all day and every day. One day I waited a whole 2 hours to ride this and I will not being doing this again. The trick is to wait for the evening parade and hop in line when its at 20 minuets wait. It is so worth the long wait anyways but now I know that it does get quiet I won't be doing it again!

RC Racer
Who doesn't love Toy Story? The ride may be short and over in a couple of minuets but its one of the my favourites in the Studios. There is just something about the rush you get going back and forth and getting higher and higher.

Ratatouille
This ride is just amazing and one of the best there it has to be said. I love trackless floor and how the rats move around and all the 3D visual effects but also the smells and change in temperature its just amazing. Plus its the story of my favourite rat of all time Remy!

Tower of Terror
Tower of Terror is my all time favourite ride in the Studios and it always will be regardless! I love a good thrill ride and this is one of them, the whole lead up to the ride is great waiting inside the hotel lobby then going in to the library before making your way to the service elevator. The story once in the lift is in French but I have to say it does make it feel more creepy because you have no idea what is being said at all.

Rock N Rollercoaster
What I love about this rollercoast is that you get launched in to the ride and reach 57 per hour in 2.8 seconds whilst listening to Aerosmith music through the speakers in your seat. Its thrilling, great fun and gives you that adrenaline rush.

So these are the rides on mine and Emma's to do list which we will hopefully get done at least once or maybe twice depending how busy the parks. Stay tuned for the next part of the series next month!

Review: March 2017 Tokyo Treat Box - A Year of Boxes

I cannot believe that this time last year I had ordered and was waiting on my first Tokyo Treat Box to arrive all the way from Japan. And a year on I am still getting the same excitement every month waiting for my box to arrive.

My box usually takes 2 weeks to come so I was surprised when it came in just 10 days considering February was a shorter month!

As always here is a photo of the outside and inside of the book that they provide you detailing all the items with in the box in English because If you are like me I cannot read Japanese at all!

This months theme is Matcha/Sakura flavoured and I have to be honest I was a little worried when they announced the theme for this month as last year they did a whole Matcha themed box which I decided to skip but this year they have mixed it with Sakura.

But actually there was only 5 Matcha and 5 Sakura items with in the box and the rest were a mix of different items which was great ALTHOUGH after trying the Matcha items I have realised actually how much I love it! So now I'm not as worried about this flavour being included anymore.

Items Received:
Tirol Choco - Sakura Mochi (5/5)
As mentioned in last months review I have had some that were this flavour before in my March box from last year apart from there were two different flavours not just the one. I really liked these though because they were little cubes of chocolate with a gummy Sakura flavour.

Sequoia Chocolate - Matcha Green Tea Flavour (5/5)
I was a little miffed if i would like this because it kind of looked like a bamboo shoot and the pure green colour as well but it tasted really good. It wasn't a full on Match taste like what I've had before and has put me off.

Strawberry Cotton Candy (5/5)
Who doesn't love getting cotton candy when they go to the fair? This little pot of was so cute and just enough to get that nostalgia memory. It also tasted so much more strong than the stuff I have had before.

Cola Diamond Ring (N/A)
Talk about bringing back childhood memories! We used to get something like this in different flavours in the UK called Ring Pops so I decided to give this on to my partner Joel because he was really excited when he saw this in the box.

Pickled Sakura Daikon (N/A)
No comment on this! I just can't quite bring myself to eat it because it just looks totally weird!

Poteco Delicious Salt (5/5)
A Japanese version of UK Hula Hoops apart from these aren't as thick they are a slightly thinner circle and had a more salty taste. I actually preferred these to the UK version just because they were thinner and not as thick as ours.

Harvest Rich Matcha Chocolate Sandwich (5/5)
Surprisingly I actually really liked these as when I picked them out of the box I wasn't 100% convinced I would due to the biscuit being Matach flavoured as well but it was very subtle taste. I've had had Matcha chocolate before and it was just to over powering which was what put me off.

Waku Waku Animal Soft Candy DIY (5/5)
I've actually had this DIY kit before as it came on my Tofu Cute lucky bag when I was at Hyper Japan last year. Tbh I didn't even bother making the animals I just ate the candy which tasted delicious.

Pie No Mi - Green Tea Flavour (5/5)
I really really loved these! They are cute little pastries filled with a matcha filling and they really complement each other with the creamy pastry flavour. I can also advise that they aren't a toxic green colour on the inside like shown on the box.

Animal Land Gummy - Grape (5/5)
Gummies? Grape? Shaped like animals? WIN WIN WIN!

Peach Caramel Corn (+5/5)
Another repeat from March 2016's box but I actually don't mind as I love Caramel Corn so much and would be over the moon if they put some in every box.

Sakura Chopsticks
Even though I don't use chopsticks these are really cute and fit in really well with the theme with them being pink and green. I love the Sakura print that is on them as well.

Sakura Sakuranbo Royal Milk Tea (0/5)
Now I am not a massive lover of tea so when I saw that this was being included in March's I wasn't too bothered because I knew the chances were I wasn't going to like it. It surprised me that it was made by Coca Cola as I never knew they made other drinks. I had a few sips and you could definitely taste the cherry and blossom but there was also a strong hint of tea which really put me off.

Dars Uji Matcha Flavour (5/5)
Another Matcha item that to begin with I wasn't 100% sure I was going to like but actually I turned out to really love it to the fact no one else even got to try any. What I liked about this chocolate compared to others I had tried is that the matcha filling was complimented by the dark chocolate coating on the outside which meant it wasn't overpowering.

Sakura Konpeito Candy (5/5)
The packaging for these Konpeito candies was so cute covered in a cherry blossom print which really complimented the flavour. I didn't expect them to be as small as they were because I have had these in a bigger version in bright colours. These were really tiny and in a white and pink colour but I wouldn't say they really tasted of Sakura but they still tasted amazing.

Sakura Saku Latte Candy (5/5)
Simple cherry blossom shaped hard candy that comes in 4 different flavours being coffee, matcha, banana and sakura flavours. Each flavour packed a punch that is for but out of all the flavours the Sakura one was my favourite as I love cherry flavoured sweets.

Back at the start of March Tokyo Treat announced some major changes to they're monthly subscriptions and what is great is that its bigger boxes, more treats and a special random bag of treats and all for the same price which is fantastic.

I won't go in to the changes to much now but once my April box comes I shall review and fill you in with all the new items and new features of the box. I've made a promise to myself that with the changes I am not going to watch any reviews of the box before it comes, I am little naughty by doing that and I don't want to ruin the surprise!

If you would like to read any of my Tokyo Treat reviews from 2016 then please click on the "Tokyo Treat" or "2016" labels in the label column on the side.

Thanks for reading. I purchased this with my own money and I was NOT paid to review this by Tokyo Treats.
