Last Week On Instagram

1. Pocahontas Funko Pop - I love collecting Funko Pops as they're really cute and when I heard they were doing Pocahontas ones I was over the moon because she is my favourite Disney character. Don't they both look so cute? I wish they did a few more rather than just two as I would have loved to get John and a few others.

2. Yume Twins Box - I finally got my first Yume Twins box and you can read my review here

3. Me Before You Date Night - I finally went to see Me Before You at the cinema last week and boy what an emotional movie but at the same time it was a really lovely story and the on screen romance was spot on they looked perfect together. I love Emilia Clarke especially with brown hair and her amazing smile!

4. Splatoon - I got Fin the most amazing Splatoon Wii U controller cover I was sad to let it go actually I really want one myself!

5/6. Finlay's 8th Birthday - I cannot believe that my Nephew turned 8 on the weekend he is growing up so fast its crazy. They're all growing up so quick even little Ads is looking more and more like his big brother every week.

Review: June YumeTwins Grand Opening Kawaii Box

So in a previous post that you can read here you may recall me saying that I might do my first ever unboxing video for this new subscription box? Well in the end I decided I wouldn't bother and that I would do my normal written review as I get very shy.

So the original plan was that this box was going to be a July release with a pre order period up until the 31st May with a special 40% off your first box but unexpected to them the box sold out before the end of May. So they decided that the grand opening box would move to June and they have extended the offer to cover the July box.

The box is $23.99 + $6.99 shipping a month making this $29.99 which is about £21 a month which I don't think is too bad considering this will contain 8/10 only licensed items a month ranging from plushes, key rings, figures and stationary. You will see items from Hello Kitty (yes please), Ban Dai, Amuse, Sailor Moon and many more! If you take a look at they're website your be able to see all the items that might make an appearence in the box and its looking like there is some great stuff on offer! Yume Twins:  http://yumetwins.com/

So as the box is created by the lovely Tokyo Treat team this also includes the over cute and well designed booklet that you see in the snack subscription box which makes me really happy as the booklets are one of the best bits included within the boxes.

As for the box its self, its purple for a start which is a massive win for me and is so Kawaii with all the cute little designs and pictures on the front. The box is very well packed and a lot of thought and effort has gone in to the presentation. I was surprised at how small the box was I was expecting something around the same size as the snack subscription considering with this one we have to pay postage.

The Box took 16 days to come which is what I expected with the snack subscription taking an average of 20/23 days to come. I said to myself I wouldn't look at what was included from other subscribers but I did whoops! For the next box I think I am going to avoid looking so that I can have more of a surprise.

Items Received:
Sanrio Gudetama Coin Purse

OK so I was totally unaware that Gudetama was made by Sanrio who make the famous Hello Kitty products so when I saw this name on the back I was surprised. I have to say I wasn't to sure when I first saw this little guy but after receiving this kawaii coin purse I fell in love!

C'est Bon Star Ring

This a simple cute plastic ring that comes with a small packet of candy. These are extremly popular in Japan at the moment and are a blind box so you don't know which one you get until you open it. Shame my fingers are too big for me to actually wear this so I shall give this to my niece.

Camio: Mini Panda Memo

I LOVE Pandas and cute stationary so this was a win win for me!

Camio: Jacquard Mini Towel Ribbon
This is just simple cute wash cloth, the Japanese tend to put them in they're bag to dry they're hands when they're out but I think I may take mine to the gym to use. This is a super cute design and the bow reminds me of Sailor Moon!

Anywhere Gudetama Mascot

Another Gudetama product this time a key chain blind box. This is really cute and I have actually put this on my purse. I was hoping I would get the strawberry!

Re-Ment: Funassyi Diorama Stickers

To me this was a pointless item because I have no need for it but I'm sure my Nephew and Niece will like this!

Sailor Moon Plushie
So I got Sailor Uranus and I have no idea at the moment who she is as I am very new to the show so I haven't met any of these guys yet. The plush is high quality and super cute.

Prism Paradise Heart Case

Another item where I am not sure who these people are but the item is really cute and I am happy with the design I was given in my box as I love purple. This is a little compact mirror with some flavoured candy which taste amazing and didn't last very long.

Verdict:
So with this being my actual first ever Kawaii subscription box I wasn't really sure what to expect. The box its self is defiantly one of my favourites I've seen around as I love the cute little designs and that they have kept the same designer also makes its great as I love his work!

The box included a wide variety of kawaii gifts that everyone will enjoy but I will be honest at the moment there is nothing in this months box that has made me go WOW I really want another one? I guess I had high expectations because of how good the Snack box is.

But then again not every box is going to be everyone's cup of tea. I have purchased the July box because of the boxes changing and I did fancy getting another one. I would like to keep both subscriptions going but with the cost of them both being about £45 it is a lot of money for me to keep these both up so I am hoping that maybe they will do some sort of offer for people who have both boxes maybe if it was £35 a month that is something I could deal with. At this moment if I had to choose one to keep it would be the snack box because its a variety of edible snacks that I wouldn't try myself where as this box can have some pointless bits in if your not really in to those things.

I think for now I may do one box one month and one box another month. So I have the July Yume Twins box and then I'll get the August Tokyo Treat box and so on taking it in turns each month depending really on how I feel about the July box.

Thanks for reading. I purchased with my own money and I was NOT paid to review this by Tokyo Treats.

The Harry Potter Tag

I probably don't mention it enough on here but I am a mad Potterhead and when I stumbled across this tag on here I had to take the opportunity to have a go myself as I haven't come across a Harry Potter tag before only lots of Disney ones!

What is your favourite book?
Hmm this is a tough one but I am going to say Harry Potter the Philosophers Stone because this is the book that started it all and welcomed us to the world of witch craft and wizardry. I love this book because it sets the scene of whats to come. My second favourite ;) is the Deathly Hallows.

What is your favourite film?
I think the first 4 films are my overall favourite and the reason being for this is because they follow the books all throughout the films where as the last ones don't really follow and I also found they missed so many bits out that should have been included. But if I had to pick my overall favourite I think it would the Deathly Hallows part 2 because I love the book so much and the scene with Snap always makes me cry!!! Reading and Watching!

What is your least favourite book?
So I know this isn't really a reason but I think it has to be the Goblet of Fire. It was one of the only books I didn't read before the film came out and to be honest I then over watched the movie so many times I still haven't been able to bring myself to read the book!

What is your least favourite film?
NONE

Parts of books/films that make you cry?
1. When Fred dies :(
2. When Dumbeldoor dies :(
3. The scene with Snape and Harry :(
4. When Snapes dies :(((((

If you could hook up with any character, who would it be?
Since the Goblet of Seanus Finnigan got quite attractive in my eyes and since then I have always had a little thing for him even though he isn't a massive main character

What is your favourite character?
Snape and Draco! I don't know what it is but I just love these two Snape especially because even though he has that tough exterior you know he is completely different on the inside. And I LOVE Alan Rickman may he rest in peace :(

What is your least favourite character?
DOLORES UMBRIDE! Need I say more?

What would your patronus be?
Pug, Pug, PUG!

If you could have a Resurrection Stone, Invisibility Cloak or Elder Wand, which would it be?
Invisibility Cloak for sure, think of all the sneaking around you could do if you had one of these!

Which house would you be in?
Slytherin

If you were in a Quidditch team, which position would you play?
I wouldn't haha I am so awful at sports but I would defiantly be cheering my house team along

Were you happy with the ending?
Yes I was happy with the way the book ended, it was also nice that JK Rowling did a so many years later section so that we could have an incite in to what happened next. I am also happy with the way the film portrayed the book as sometimes when they change the books in to films bits can be forgotten but because they did it in two parts it made it easier to tell the story and fit everything in

How much does Harry Potter mean to you?
A huge amount, its been a big part of my life for the last 17 years and when the final book was written it was OK cause we had the movies but once they had finished it finally hit me that that was it. Harry Potter will always live on! One day I will get my Hogwarts letter ;)

Last Week On Instagram

So the highlight of last week was obviously booking my 25th Birthday Disneyland Paris break away with my best friend Emma. I am so over the moon and cannot wait to go next year but I have my day trip to plan for yet!

1. Upcoming Events - So this year I haven't really got a lot going on bit of a quiet year for some reason but I have got Hyper Japan in 24 days which I am so excited about after missing well forgetting to book tickets every other year this time I finally have done it!!!! My Birthday is fast approaching which means only one thing that its Disneyland Paris for the day a few days after!!!

2. Writers Block - Really struggling with blog content at the moment. I do have two blog posts in the pipe line but most of the blog posts I want to write are based on my Disney day trip and Disney holiday so can't really post or write those till near the time. I'm sure something will crop up or maybe I'll take a break for a while over the summer? Have to see!

3. Orange is the new Black - I have been waiting for this since the last season came out and damn it is soooo good, there is so many new characters in this season which keeps it fresh and exciting. So far I am on episode 8 so about half way through the season. I said I wouldn't binge watch but I kinda can't help it!

4. I went in for Dory - Yup I've brought more after I said I wasn't really going to be collecting anymore! After getting Dory a few weeks ago I went on a hunt to find Nemo but after finding Nemo on my second attempt I came across the Jungle Book collection by Posh Paws and after seeing how cute they are in person I couldn't say NO!!!!

5. Sunday Movie Time - Well obviously after picking up these Tsum Tsum I was really in the mood to watch the movie and I have to say it is one of my favourites.

6. Relaxation Class - I love my Sunday relaxation sessions. I honestly didn't think I would still be going now after going for my free taster session I wasn't sure what to expect but I really enjoyed it and the way it made me feel after was amazing! I have been going for nearly a year now which is mad but it helps me feel positive and relaxed plus it helps me sleep loads better.

Last Week On Instagram

I'm so glad its Wednesday as its all down hill to the weekend from now woo! Don't really have any plans this weekend but something will crop up it always usually does but I would like to play some Sims as a new DLC came out last and I have barley had time to explore it!

1. Alice in Wonderland - As I was actually off Monday last week I decided I would get all cosy in  bed and rewatch Alice in Wonderland as on the Wednesday me and my best friend went to see Through The Looking Glass and it was AMAZING!!!! I preferred it so much more than the first it just seemed a lot better!

2. Sims 4 Dine Out - As mentioned above the long awaited TS4 Dine out was released, ever since this has been announced I have been eagerly been waiting for this to come out. I probably played for 3 hours so far and I have to say I prefer this so much more than running a shop. I'm thinking of maybe doing a review but who knows ;)

3. Tokyo Treat June Box - I won't bore you with anymore on this but you can read my review here ;)

4. New Pug Chopping Board - I love my Mum she knows how much I love stuff with pugs on and to go around to hers and to see she had picked me up this cute glass chopping board to go my cooker I was in love! Its just the cutest thing I've ever seen she also got me the mug <3

5. Bristol Zoo Work Summer Do - My work always has a summer do and this year we ended up going to Bristol Zoo for a buffet lunch, animal encounter and then did this high wire tree obstacle course. Luckily the weather stayed really nice just until we left when it decided to tip down with rain!!! We had the chance to go around the whole zoo as well which was great and lots of fun!

6. Fantastic Beasts and Where to find them - I have been eager to pick this book up for a while now and finally did on the weekend. I am so excited for the movie next year so I thought I may as well read the book so I know all the beasts that will mentioned in the movie!!!

Review: June Tokyo Treat Box

"I told you so" comes to mind as I write this review of my 3rd Tokyo Treat box. I decided that after my 2nd box that I would take a break from them for a while as money was tight which it still is but I just couldn't resist what they were offering this month!

What is great is that they now have a new feature on they're portal which allows you to actually skip a month rather than having to cancel your subscription like I did last time although I am glad I did because now it means I get my boxes a little earlier than the expected but it still took an average of 20/25 days to come. I have actually skipped July's box so I hope I don't regret it because I wanted to get two Yume Twins Kawaii boxes in a row.

This months theme is Bizarre Candies which made me want to order another box with the limited edition drink being Sakura Cola after everybody loving the Sakura Pepsi. I haven't really heard of the little limited edition key chain character but it is super cute!

I think I will always stay with Tokyo Treats for my box of goodies because it is so well presented, the little booklet provide has so much thought and effort put in to it compared to some of the other boxes I've seen I feel like they put the most time and effort in to it and listen to they're customers.

So here is the booklet provided ...

Items Received:
This time instead of writing in"Italic" what the products are as mentioned in the little book provided I will just give my own comments along with pictures and a rating out of 5 so here goes ...

Yaokin Big Ika (1/5 up to a 3/5)
This has to be one of the weirdest things I have ever had! As soon as you open the packet it absolutely stinks of fish and reminds me of fish food, the texture is really weird as it is super thin strips of Squid which is meant to be midly spicy but I didn't see this at all. I gave it a 1 star to start with but as I started eating more I grew to like it!

Pine's Cola Lollipop (3/5)

I love this! It was a simple cola lollipop with some sherbet powder which was simple and yummy but it reminds me of sherbet dip dabs which I used to eat all the time when I was little

Crazy Bubbly Soda Ramune Candy (5/5)
I absolutely love Ramune candy and hopefully when I go to Hyper Japan in London in a month ill actually be able try the drink. These were fun because you think they're just normal candy and then all of a sudden they start to fizz and bubble up in your mouth. I wish there was more of them in the box as I shared mine :(

Super Long HimoQ Gummy (2/5)
So I wasn't overly impressed with this candy it was cool that it was super long but I thought it was lacking in flavour which is a shame.

KitKat Otona Crush and Spread (3/5)
So this basically is meant to be an adult flavoured kit kat due to the type of dark chocolate they use and the filling within the biscuit as well. I've never had a UK dark chocolate kit kat so whether they taste different I don't know but it did taste very nice and I would eat it again.

Fujiya Chocolate Pencils (4/5)
These were super cute and super yummy. Essentially they are just chocolate wrapped to look like pencils which is a cute idea. Like American chocolate these taste different to chocolate in the UK but I loved them and the stickers they came with were a nice added extra.

Chocolate Dipped Corn (5/5)
These are amazing where can I get more? These are a corn puff snack covered in a light rich layer of chocolate they remind me of the Umaibo snack but the chocolate isn't as thick. One of my favourite snacks from the box!

Karaoke Mic Ramune (5/5)
Ahh more Ramune candy to my delight in these cute random plastic microphone. I'm not 100% sure why they put these in this but they're amazing they just melt on your tongue!

DIY Mysterious Coris Syrup (4/5)
WOW for the first time an actual DIY kit that I actually enjoyed doing OK yes it was simple and easy but it ended up actually tasting nice which is a surprise as these usually taste awful but I love grape things.

Smartphone Mochi (3/5)
I've never had Mochi before but this was yummy although my boy friend said it was meant to be softer? But I don't know as I've never has it before but there was 3 different flavoured cubes and it came in a cute smart phone packet.

Limited Edition Chocolate Umaibo (5/5)
Why did I share these? Again another corn puffed biscuit type thing covered in thick rich chocolate and tasted amazing it did remind me of something we have in the UK but I can't put my finger on what it is. I wish I didn't share these as they were yummy!

Tohato's Neko Atsume Biscuit (5/5)
Can we take take a moment to just appreciate how cute the packaging is? I loved receiving these in the June box as I have actually played the game. These are another corn puff snack that to me tasted like salted caramel? But they were amazing and didn't last 30 seconds in my home plus they were shaped like CATS!!!

Hi-Eight Chocolate (1/5)
I wasn't too fussed on these if I am honest they tasted a bit like a cheap UK smarties as the chocolate didn't taste all that good!

Sakura Cola (5/5)
Need I say anymore? This is the main item that drew me to order another box as I loved the Sakura Pepsi. It tasted essentially the same but with out the Pepsi hint. I wish I could get this in the UK.

Chimokke Mascot (5/5)
I have no clue who Chimokke is but this is just adorable, poor little guy only has one antenna and I am happy with the design I got as it is more girly and looks very cute on my car keys.

Koikeya's Potato Tiramisu Chips (2/5)
Merr another one I wasn't all really impressed with the chips didn't really taste of cheese more like card board and then once you added the powder it didn't really make much of a different but the idea was good but the taste wasn't all that!

Here is another photo of this months box, I have to say so far this is my favourite I think as it has a variety of different candies that I wouldn't have picked up to try myself! All I would say is that most of these candies I wouldn't really call bizarre? Most of them are pretty average apart from the squid treat and tiramisu chips.

You can read my other Tokyo Treat box reviews here for March and April :)

Thanks for reading. I purchased with my own money and I was NOT paid to review this by Tokyo Treats.

Disneyland Paris is BOOKED!

I am so excited to announce that I am going back to Disneyland Paris for a week, even though it isn't until September 2017 so yes I know next year and still a while away yet I cannot wait!

I posted back in February that me and my best friend Emma were planning a trip for my 25th Birthday and the original plan was to wait until this September for flights to be available but after pricing up holidays once again it turns out that Magic Breaks will add the flights on at a later date who could say no right?

What surprised me was that the holiday was £150 cheaper with Magic Breaks than a few other places so when I saw the costs without flights I just had to book it.

So here is what is included in our booking;
  • 4 Nights and 5 Days including breakfast in Hotel Cheyenne which is currently being renovated
  • Park Tickets for both Parks
  • Princess and Prince lunch at Auberge de Cendrillion on my birthday with a cake
  • Dinner at Cafe Mickey
  • Airport Transfers
We will have to book our flights in September as soon as they're available to ensure we get the best deal but otherwise we are all set to go!

I cannot wait to hear more about the 25th Anniversary celebrations that will be happening during my stay as I will be celebrating my 25th as well!

So as of now its 454 days until I go but not forgetting I am actually of to DLP on the 17th September this year for a day trip with a charity organised group which will be amazing!

Last Week On Instagram (Holiday Edition)

After 12 days of I am back on work boo hoo! Setting my alarm for 5;25am this morning sucked especially with how humid its been recently. Sleeping has been rather hard even when changing from a 13.5 to a 4.5 duvet its still HARD!!!

Anyway's as you know I've been away to Newquay down in Cornwall for a week with my family during the May school holidays so I thought I would do a Last Week on Instagram but a holiday edition maybe chucking in some other photos along the way.

We were so lucky to have the most perfect weather meaning that we were able to get out and about with the kids cause if it rained we would have been stuck on the camp site with not much else to do. The camp site its self was very good has lots of entertainment, places to eat, amusements and an amazing indoor pool with slides.

We ended up at the beach twice which was great even though we wish it was proper sand rather than a stony sand but the kids enjoyed it either way. We went to Newquay Zoo and Crealy adventure park as well which were both great days out for the kids.

On the Monday me and some of the group went to visit a National Trust house called Trerice House which is from the Elizabethan period once again it was the most beautiful day to look around the gardens and visit the house as each bits were from different eras as some of the end of the house was newly built. I love a good bit of History.

I had a lovely week away with my family it was a great laugh and lots of fun! No holiday now until next year which is a shame but will be worth the wait I'm sure!!!
