Disney Holiday Hints and Tips Tag

You know me I cannot resist a good tag especially if it is Disney related, I can across this whilst reading a new blog I have come across by a lovely girl called Jade over at Outside the Tower. This is all about revealing some of the best hints and tips when going on a Disney Holiday!

Disneypark: Disneyland Paris

1. When is the best time to visit?
Early February or during a special season at Disney, just avoid weekends and all school holidays as it will be less busy

2. How long is the perfect visit?
4 Nights and 5 days during quieter seasons this is plenty of time to do all the parks and do them again a second time if you wish

3. Which hotel is the best to stay at and why?
For me Hotel New York because I love New York and the theme of the hotel is amazing

4. Is there anywhere else to visit near the park?
Its only a short ride on the RER  in to the Centre of Paris also the massive shopping centre in Val D Europe which is great for shopping and picking up snacks

5. What is the one thing that is a MUST to pack?
Comfortable shoes! You can sometimes be in the park from 8am to 11pm during the summer even on shorter days comfy shoes are a must!

6. Where is the best place to take a picture of the castle?
I always like to take my photos directly in front of the castle although from the left hand side at the front is also a good

7. Where is the best place to watch the parade?
In Fantasy Land not far from the start, not many people wait here and its when the parade is at its slowest.

8. Where is the best place to watch the fireworks?
Directly in front of the Castle but not to close a little further back in the mound bit in the middle of the road as its far enough back but not too close. Get there half an hour early to secure a good spot.

9. Which restaurant would you recommend and why?
Cafe Mickey for sure, the character interactions when your eating your food is great!

10. What food should I try?
Mum's Chocolate Cake in the Cable Car Bake Shop <3 Its so good! I had 4 slices on my first visit hehe!

11. Which rides are a must?
Disneypark: Space Mountain, Peter Pans Flight and Indian Jones
Walt Disney Studios: Tower of Terror, Ratatouille, Aerosmith, Crush Coaster

12. If I can only buy one, what should it be?
A mug, it has to be a current mug from the year of your trip

13. If I can only do one thing in the park, what should I do?
See Disney Dreams! It is the most magical show of them all, the fireworks and visuals are so beautiful and bound to make you cry or tear up a little

14. What is the one thing I must take into the Park?
Phone/Camera there is so many things to take photos of as well as all the Character meet and greets.

15. If you had to tell me your own tip/hint what would it be?
Don't wait for Crush Coaster during the day, go back to the Walt Disney during the Disney's Magic on Parade in the main park. This will make the wait time from 75mins plus to only 10mins which is a lot better!

Who says you can't make friends on the web?

OK so I know the title of this post sounds a bit creepy haha but Its not. I don't know if you remember in a previous post I mentioned about my best friend Emma coming down to stay? Well finally last weekend it happened after 4 months of waiting which actually zoomed by.

Now me and Emma met through Instagram over our mutual love for Disney and playing The Sims, we didn't really start talking much until October last year where we then became best friends and would face time every week or so (see not creepy because I could actually see her and know she wasn't some creepy person or for a fact that I wasn't haha).

It was really great to have Emma come and stay for a few days and to actually get to meet in person, what was so great is that we got on so well in person as we did via face time and texting cause even though you talk to someone via face time meeting in person can be completely different.

Due to having crappy weather I didn't get to show Emma as much of Bristol as I really wanted to but we did manage to meet some of her family and she met some of mine which was great. We also managed to go out for food at two of the places I really wanted her to try.

First place we went to was Hobgoblin for Dirty fries and burgers with my other best friend Samiee as you know from my previous posts. Now this place does the most amazing dirty fries and I get serious cravings for these. This is the first time that Samiee and Emma have met also and what I loved is that they got on so well and was like we had all know each other for ages!!!!

After this even through we were so full we headed over to a place called The Parlour which serves the most amazing Ice cream, waffles and pancakes. To be fair we all had some pretty random choices but Samiee's had to be the best Nutella pancakes with bubblegum ice cream and sauce haha!

On the last night before she left we went to get Ribs at Spitfire BBQ by the harbour side, in the end it turned out to be a lovely evening so was nice to take a walk along the harbour front.

I love that my partner and Emma also got on really well and finally he has someone that understands his jokes and banter unlike me haha!
Next time she comes down I would like her to see more of Bristol and go to Air Hop which is a massive indoor Trampoline park!!!

I am gutted that she lives so far away as I had such a great time her being down but we have already planned our next visit at the end of August where I will be going up to see her instead and I cannot wait! Plus we have Disneyland Paris to arrange for my 25th next year <3

Disney: Bronze Era/Dark Age Tag

I love doing these Disney Era tags that I find on a great blog by Scariel which you can find here.

This Era is the Bronze Era/Dark Age now you may wonder why its also called the Dark Age but this is because these movies we are going to talk about were all released after the sad death of Walt Disney.

These movies include The Aristocats, Robin Hood, the Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh, The Rescuers, The Fox and The Hound, The Black Cauldron, Basil the Great Mouse Detective and Oliver and Company. This is one of the Disney Era's people find most disappointing but for myself I actually enjoyed a lot of these movies and some of them are my favourites.

1. Any unseen films?
Nope I've seen them all!

2. What is your favourite film of the era?
To be honest they're all my favourites apart from The Black Cauldron but If I had to choose one it would be Robin Hood

3. What is your least favourite film of the era?
Well I answered that in the last question ;)

4. Who is your favourite main character?
Marie

5. Who is your favourite villain?
Professor Ratigan

6. Who is your favourite sidekick?
Robin Hood and Little John running through the forest ;)

7. What is your favourite song?
"Everybody wants to be a cat"

8. What do you consider to be the most underrated film of the era?
Basil the Great Mouse Detective

9. What is your favourite thing about this era?
Well I would definitely not call this Era the Dark Age only because I think that all of the movie bar one were great filled with great characters and great stories and some of these here are my favourite Disney movies!

10. What did you least enjoy about this era?
The Black Cauldron has to be one of my least favourite movies and I have only watched it two times

Top Ten Disney Easter Eggs

Who doesn't love a good Disney Easter Egg? After mentioning about the one hidden in Disney's new movie Zootopia in my last post it gave me an idea to write a post on my top ten hidden Easter eggs.

Now if you don't have a clue what I'm on about then shame on you ;) just kidding! Basically a Disney Easter Egg is where they hide something in their movies that reference another movie or someone or sometimes this can be hints of whats to come that you often won't even notice until they have released the movie somewhere down the line.

Here's an example: Little Mermaid
Mickey, Goofy and Donald can be seen in the crowd during King Triton's entrance

So here's my Top Ten:
101 Dalmatians
Lady and Tramp make a quick cameo during the twilight bark

Zootopia
When Duke Weaselton is caught selling Disney knock offs

Oliver and Company
Jock, Peg and Trusty from Lady and The Tramp make a  quick cameo

Monsters Inc
When Boo found Nemo and the Toy Story Ball

Tangled
When Rapunzel and Flynn read in the library 3 classic Disney movies appear in book form;
1. The Little Mermaid
2. Beauty and the Beast
3. Sleeping Beauty

Frozen
Rapunzel and Flynn are seen at Elsa's coronation

Tarzan
Mrs Potts and Chip are in Porter's Camp

Basil the Great Mouse Detective
When Dumbo shows up as a bubble toy in the toy shop

Hercules
Scar is the slain Nemean Lion

Aladdin
The Beast appears as one of the Sultan's toys

There are so many to choose from even picking some of my Top Ten was difficult! What are some of yours?

March 25th 2016: Birmingham - The Vamps

Before anyone makes any judgement on me for liking The Vamps haha this is my guilty little pleasure like for most of you who like One Direction is ;) just wanted to put that out there hehe!

As I've mentioned in a few previous posts that I was going to see The Vamps Wake Up Tour in Birmingham on the 25th March with my best friend Samiee who also loves The Vamps. This flew around considering we booked this back in October 2014!

We travelled up to Birmingham on the Friday afternoon via train and checked in to our hotel around 3 pm giving us plenty of time to go shopping and grab some food before the show started. We were quite lucky actually that our hotel was by one of the main entrances to the station making it easy for us to leave the following morning.

When we got there we checked in and headed straight for Primark which was next door to our hotel luckily ;) I was highly surprised that I didn't end up spending as much money as I thought I would considering how much I picked up and tried on and ended up hating everything apart from one top.

With being Disney lovers the Disney Store was next on our list considering we no longer have one in Bristol anymore which is really annoying. As soon as we got in there were made a B line straight for the Tsum Tsum's and mugs obviously we both ended up buying some and spending more than we bargained.

I also picked up the Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2 as I missed this in the cinema and it was part of a 2 for £20 deal.

Now when ever me and Samiee do something together its like a ritual that if there is an Ed's Diner then we will eat in an Ed's Diner regardless as we love this place and luckily our partners don't think much of it!

This time I had a simple Bacon and Cheese burger with a side of chilly cheese fries which were AMAZING! I have had the bacon cheese fries before and even those were amazing. To drink we always have a Nutella shake!

When we finally made our way over to the arena it was about 7:00pm as we decided we didn't really want to get there that early because for some reason they had 4 support acts and the first one was on at 6:30pm and The Vamps weren't on until 9pm so heck were we waiting around for 2 plus hours to see them.

This is the 3rd time we have been to see them live now and don't get me wrong they were as amazing as always but I felt that the 2nd time we saw them in Birmingham was the best we also accidentally missed the last song as they went off stage and didn't come back on for AGES so we thought it had ended whoops!

I really loved it when they sand Kung Fu Fighting and they included scenes from the new Kung Fu Panda movie which I went to see a few weeks ago. My favorite bit of any Vamps show is when Tris comes out and does an amazing Drum solo at one point during the show I thought they weren't going to do it but they did!

It was really nice to spend the night away with Samiee as we haven't done it in a while as we used to stay away for events quite a lot so was nice to get away to somewhere different and grab some food and do some shopping even if its ended up me being POOR!

Next up we have Disney On Ice in Cardiff on the 23rd April which I'm dead excited about!!
