What I'm Currently Watching

I haven't done one of these posts in a while but I thought with so many good TV shows on at the moment or just finishing it would be the perfect time :D so far this year there has been so many incredible shows like Marcella and Night Manager that had me gripped from the word go!!

Currently Watching:
Peaky Blinders
So season 3 of Peaky Blinders is currently on the TV but I am actually just starting Season 2 which I am binging of Netflix. My family watched this when it was actually on BBC 2 the first time around but for some reason its taken me till now to get around to watching it.

I absolutely love the cast in this show especially Cillian Murphy there is just something so likeable him even though he is the fierce boss of a gang set back in Birmingham in 1919. I am looking forward to seeing more of Annabelle Wallis who plays his love interest in the first season and also Tom Hardy's character ;)

Awkward
Can I just sit here and cry a moment? You ask why well this show is now officially over with the last episode airing in the states on the 24th May. I had been meaning to watch this show ever since Amazon Instant added the first season to Prime and slowly over the years they added more and more before I finally decided to get watching.

What's a shame is that I binge watched 5 and half seasons in 2 weeks and now its officially over although I do really hope they may consider a season 6! I have never screamed at a TV show so much in my life!!!!!! But I love it and need more! Will Matty and Jenna get back together? I hope so!!!!

Game of Thrones
Don't worry I won't spoil anything for you as I am so not like that but Game of Thrones came back at the end of April with the ultimate question on everybody's lips "IS JON SNOW DEAD" and your have to watch to find out!!

So far we are 6 episodes in and its incredible as always never fails to disappoint there is some amazing story lines going on at the moment and one that makes me real sad! "Hold the door" :'(

Sailor Moon
So I have literally only just started this because so many people have been recommending it to me so I have finally decided to give it ago starting with the 90's series and then I'll move on to the new stuff after.

Orphan Black
I love love love this show! Tatiana Maslany is one of the most talented actresses of all time in my eyes playing all these clones it must be so weird when filming the different parts but the episodes are always so well put together. I am so glad that Netflix have the rights to share new episodes weekly here in the UK otherwise its really hard to watch.

I am loving this season at the moment especially getting to see Alison and Donnie some more they're definitely my favourites. Can't believe there is only two more episodes of the season left!

Jane the Virgin
Another show that I have been meaning to watch for ages but missed it being aired in the UK on E4 originally but luckily Netflix uploaded the first season and I had spotted season two had just started to air in the UK so was quick to record this and binge watch.

I do have to admit that when I started watching this I wasn't 100% sure If I was really going to enjoy it but as the season went on I fell more in love with the story and characters. Petra has really pissed me off with taking Rafael's sperm to have his baby but actually I think pregnancy suites her and has made her become really nice.

I really wanted Jane and Rafale to sort things out but I'm not sure now we will have to see! Season 2 has finished in the states but were only half way through in the UK.

Fear The Walking Dead
OK so I am going to just be completely honest here I loved season 1 and was so excited when they announced season 2 and it started off where it left off and I thought OK this is just a little slow like the first season was but were now at the mid season finale and its STILLLLL BORING! You can defiently see by looking at the viewer ratings that I wasn't the only as slowly through the episodes it has dropped.

Me being me if I have started a show and have watched more than 2 episodes then I will continue to the end. So lets hope after the break it comes back better.

Excited For:

Wayward Pines
As soon as season 1 finished I had been waiting for the announcement of season 2 which I appeared to miss and the next I heard of it was when my partner told me it was back on TV tonight!!!! So now I am massively excited although I cannot even remember where we left it I best go do some goggling!

The Three Musketeers
Yay my boys are back this weekend although once again another show I didn't even realise got renewed but hay ho here we are with a new season and new stories to be told. I'm not 100% sure what is up with BBC but they always seem to change the day its aired every season and the time. But apparently this is to the be the final season NOOOOO!!!!

Orange is the New Black
Same place, same day, same time be there for be square ;) This is just clock work now and cannot wait for season 4 to begin! I think I'll do the same as last time and not binge watch this as it makes it last longer.

Just Finished Watching:

Marcella and Night Manager
OK so I have clubbed these two together even through one is ITV and one is BBC its just because we're nearly half way through the year and so far these two shows are my favourite by far they're just both incredible but it different ways! These two will definitely be battling it out for awards next year and me as a voter I have no clue who I would choose.

I don't really want to spoil anything but if you love drama and I mean gripping drama then these shows are for you. I was constantly screaming at the TV and on the edge of my seat whilst watching them I swear I was panicking for them! They're both police/detective related and are incredible each in they're own way.

I think the cast for The Night Manger is my favourite with the likes of Tom Hiddleston, Hugh Laurie, Olivia Colman and Elizabeth Debicki.

2 Broke Girls
Renewed for a 6th season? Yes please! I love this show and I actually love it more than New Girl I have to say when choosing what I watch first 2 broke Girls always will win! Once again in this season you see the girls up to they're usual tricks and the girls actually come in to some money this season and have decided to open a dessert bar whether this will actually take off unlike the cupcake business who knows guess we'll have to wait till season 6 ;)

New Girl
I love this show, its great cast and funny humour never fails to make me laugh. After finding season 3 a little boring I was glad to see things had changed in season 4 and season 5 which has just finished. I was slightly worried that Zooey wasn't going to be in the show for the first half but Megan Fox stepping in and actually only for a few episodes was great and I wouldn't mind seeing her back for some more. FINALLY CECE AND SCHMIDT GOT MARRIE!!! About time!!!

What TV shows are you currently watching or looking forward to?

I have square eyes ;)

Only kidding, well I should do anyways with how much TV I watch, I thought I would do a TV post with what I'm currently watching, coming soon and whats on my to watch list.

American TV season is definitely in full swing at the moment!

Currently Watching on TV

1.The Walking Dead:
So the Walking Dead is finally back and after 2 episodes so far you can tell that his season is going to be a good one. Like Carol has turned all bad ass in the last episode. I wondered where Rick has gotten to, I didn't realise they were planning on taking the Zombies that far!

2. Once Upon A Time:
It took me ages to get in to this show, I think I must have watched the pilot 3 times before I actually managed to continue past episode 2 which I am really glad that I did. I ended up binge watching all of the seasons in a month meaning I had to wait until season 5 came on Netflix, So far after being 4 episodes in you can tell this is going to be a good season, Emma and Hock are my favs!

3. Switched At Birth

4. Karl Pilkington: The Moaning Of Life 2:
Who doesn't love Karl? I am so glad they have brought back another series of this as it makes me laugh so much the stuff he does and the comments he makes are hilarious. I loved him in the Idiot Abroad as well!

5. Scream Queens:
This show is just hilarious, its so stupid but funny at the same time. I spoke about this in one of my previous posts and can't get enough of it Emma Roberts and Lea Michele are perfect for the show!

6. The Apprentice

7. American Horror Story:
With only watching the pilot so far this series looks like it could be a good one, I hope it is as I was highly disappointed with Freak Show and it was hyped up so much that when it came to watching it I was bored. So at this moment in time until I've watched a few more I don't really have a comment.

8. Vampire Diaries

9. Zoo:
Anyone else been watching Zoo? This is a new series on Sky 1 which was recommend to me by my brother and its about animals all over the world doing unnatural things due to this compound that is certain products being given to the animals. Its not a documentary its a drama/thriller show. Give it a watch I am not very good at describing things hehe!

10. Downton Abbey:
So Downton Abbey is finally coming to an end, which personally I think is the right decision for the show. Last season wasn't exactly great I found my self getting bored but so far this season has been exciting and full of drama.

11. Casualty:
I feel like I am probably one of the small minority that actually watch this show, I've watched this since I was like 13 so a good 10 years, I think I started watching it because it was originally filmed in Bristol and I just liked the characters. I can't stand Holby City though :/

Currently Watching: (On Netflix, Now TV, Amazon Instant, DVD or Recorded):

1.Under The Dome:
So I started watching this on Amazon Instant after missing out on the 1st season on TV, I had heard nothing but good things about this show until season 3 aired on TV a few months ago. I've literally just started it and I'm not really sure what is going on at the moment. Bit Skeptical at the moment as to whether I am going to like it or not.

2.Orange Is The New Black:
It took me so long to get on the OITNB band wagon but finally last year me and my mum started watching it together hence why I have not finished season 3 yet but hay I've got till next year till season 4 is out. Love a good Netflix Original show.

3. Dracula:
Only 3 episodes in and really enjoying it so far, gutted to hear they aren't making another season of this. Its got such a great cast which was one of the main reasons I started watching it, you can guess from the name its about a Vampire hehe!

Excited About:

1. 2 Broke Girls
2. New Girl
3. Marvel Agents of Shield
4. Ripper Street
5. Pretty Little Liars
6. Orphan Black
7. Orange Is The New Black
8. Mr Selfridge
9. Call The Midwife
10. The Musketeers

To Watch List:

1. Penny Dreadful
2. Awkward
3. Girls
4. Scandal
5. Nashville

September Favourites

Morning my lovelies!

Its October already? How crazy is that? I do love October as it is officially Autumn now meaning the woolly jumpers can finally come out and its acceptable to drink Hot Chocolate again haha!

I don't usually do a monthly round up but as September was good a month I thought I would for a change.

(Not my Photo)
Favourite Buys:
I haven't really spent that much money this month with it being my birthday but I did buy a few bits and bobs from Happy Jackson which is my new favourite brand at the moment.

I brought myself a few bits to take on holiday with me, I decided that this time on my trip to Disneyland Paris I would take hand luggage as the last time I went I actually needed some on the way back with my suitcase being full of  Disney stuff. So I brought a new hand luggage bag which is smaller, some little bags to go inside my suitcase and a new passport cover.

Food/Eating Out:
This month is probably one of the months I've eaten out the most which is unlike me that's for sure always watching my money but I tried 3 new places this month which I would recommend;

The Burger Joint;
I have mentioned "The Burger Joint" on my birthday blog but it is one of my September favourite. For those who haven't read my previous posts this is a place where you make your own burger by filling in a tick sheet. They have a variety of meats, toppings, sauces and sides you can choose from.

Spitfire BBQ;
Now if you like Ribs this is definitely the place to go and I recommend ordering the "Spitfire Rib" me and my partner order the big rib but found that actually the Small would have been enough. They come in 3 sizes but they also do burgers, chicken and subs.

Its pretty smokey in there as the kitchen is open plan and its cooked on a smokey grill.

Afternoon Tea at Patisserie Valarie;
I have also mentioned my adventures here before in a previous blog, but was also one of my September favourite as this is my first time having Afternoon Tea and highly recommend  Patisserie Valarie.

TV:
Scream Queens;
Now this show so far is absolutely brilliant, this could be one of my new favourites. It has an incredible cast including Lea Michele (Idol) and Emma Roberts, it is also directed by Ryan Murphy who created Glee and American Horror Story.

Its to do with a group of Sorority girls and they're new pledges who seem to be being murdered by the red devil kinda reminds me of Pretty Little Liars its no longer who is "A" is its who is the "Red Devil" haha. Its like mean girls in a way with your high school teens.

Downton Abbey;
Yay! Downton Abbey also made a return this month for the last and final season before the Christmas special this year.

We have only seen 2 episodes so far and we have already seen Mary get black mailed again! and Mr and Mrs Bates get cleared of murder. So far the season could be a good one so hopefully it continues.

Once Upon A Time;
This is one of my favourite shows at the moment I really regret not watching it when it was on Chanel 5 in the UK but I originally found it really hard to get in to. But when Netflix finally put seasons 1/3 and the new season 4 on there I thought I would give it another go and ended up binge watching it all in a month that's how addicted I got.

I won't give any spoilers but we have only seen the premiere so far and after watching that one episode I just have a feeling this season is going to be good!!!!

Highlights:
It was my birthday this month which I had a wonderful time celebrating with my partner, family and friends mainly just going out for food and eating lots of cake. I got lots of amazing presents and spent my birthday money on clothes.

At the start of September I managed to go to see "Bend It Like Beckham" the musical in London with my sister. Me and her loved the film so much that when we saw they were doing a musical it was a must do, it was a lovely day out and great fun spending some time with her.

September has been a great month, how has yours been? Immy xoxox

Reminiscing: Children's TV Shows

Been seeing a lot of those posts on Facebook which are like "Do you remember this?" about old TV shows, clothes, bands and books which has got me thinking back to when I was younger and what TV shows I always used to watch and would like to watch again.

On of my all time favourites was "The Worse Witch" which is what I think made me love the Harry Potter franchises so much. As I sit here writing this I am now singing the theme tune!

"My Parents Are Aliens" on ITV at 5pm after school was just brilliant, one of my after school favourites preferred it a lot more once they changed Sophie.

"The Story of Tracey Beaker" is still one of my favourite shows to this day and I've seen every episode including the spin of shows (my guilty pleasure) haha!

Cartoon Network always had some amazing shows would often spend my Sunday morning watch this station;
  • The Cramp Twins
  • Ed, Edd and Eddy
  • Powerpuff Girls
  • Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends
  • Cow and Chicken
  • Courage the Cowardly Dog
  • Top Cat
  • Tom and Jerry
  • The Flinstones

Nickelodeon as well had always the best shows;
  • Sabrina
  • Saved By The Bell
  • Kenna and Kel
  • The Amanda Show
  • Rugrats
  • Hey Arnold
  • Fairly Odd Parents
  • As Told By Ginger

I always wanted to go on "Jungle Run" and "50/50"

"Bodger and Badger" Everybody knows Bodger loves mash potato

Couldn't beat waking up to "Arthur" on a school morning!

Tbh there was probably tones more but I can't seem to find the names of them online but have an idea of what they were about haha!

What's your favourites?

The Netflix Tag

Very unusual for me to post twice in one day, don't get used to it though ;)

Another one of these tags from Emma's blog, this time The Netflix tag and as a major TV nerd this had to be done!

All Time Favourite:

My favourite show on Netflix is "Pretty Little Liars" especially as they now upload the episodes weekly which makes it easier for all us PLL fans out there who live in the UK!

Current Addiction:

My current addiction was "Once Up On A Time" but I binge watched that in a month hehe. If you love Disney, Fairy Tales and Fantasy then this is the show for you!

Wish List:

More recent movies to be added, as at the moment Now TV has more choice but is a lot more expensive. Orphan Black Season 3.

Pet Peeve:

Not having the same content as the US but also Europe. In Germany they have the whole Lizzie McGuire show on there but the UK don't.

Marathon Essentials:

It definitely has to be full movie and TV show box sets so you can just spent the whole weekend binge watching!

What's on your wish list?

  • Orange Is The New Black - Season 3
  • Pretty Little Liars - Season 6
  • Once Upon A Time - New Season
  • American Horror Story - New Season
  • Sons of Anarchy
  • Prison Break
  • Mis Fits
  • Skins
  • Homeland
  • The Originals
  • The Returned
  • The Killing
  • The Wrong Mans
  • Ice Castles
You Should Watch!

If you haven't already then you need to watch Breaking Bad, Orphan Black and Orange Is The New Black!!!
