My Desk

OK so I thought I'd do something a little different this week on my blog and give you a little guided tour of my desk at work.

Now before you all start yawning and say well that's just boring well to me I quite like my desk everyone gives theirs they're own personal touch maybe some don't but I certainly have in the last year especially as you spend a lot of time when working in an office environment just looking at your computer and the same desk dividers so I fancied cheering my desk up a bit and making it less plain and boring to the eye. So here is what I've done ...

You just have to have cute stationary especially when it is all Disney and looks so kawaii! Everyday is a Disney Day ;)

I love calendars they're something I will always buy but I usually only have one until last year when I found the 365 Disney Photos a day Calender which was just a must have for me!!!! But I couldn't just have one because I like to still be able to view my month as a whole so I never forget what is going on.

Yup and my actually computer monitor has become home to a few bits and bobs over the years like the new Lego Disney blind bag figures and Kinder Chocolate Belle whoops! Not many people in my office have changed they're backgrounds on they're PC but me being me I just had to and I feel in love with the Disneyland Paris Valentines day promo photos they did they're just beautiful.

And finally my collection of postcards from various places mostly Disney, I love the ones from Disneyland Paris because they just remind me of my upcoming day trip and birthday plans next year.

So that's what I've done to try make my desk more cheerful by filling it with things I love and happy memories! Anyone I work with can definitely tell I love Disney thanks for sure!

What's your desk like? Immy xoxoxo

Time To Get Things In Motion

I’ve always been a massive animal lover and a job career I’ve always wanted to pursue but the pay cut has always ended up putting me off but it’s gotten to the point now where I must do something about it. I am one of these people who get stuck in their ways and are just happy to float on by in the same job until circumstances change that forces you to do something else.

After a long talk with my boyfriend end of last year I decided that I am going to pursue my dream and apply to be an RSPCA Trainee Inspector this will involve training away from home for up to a year somewhere in the UK which is something we have agreed on and will be for the best to benefit me on my new path. As you are paid during the training it means that I am still able to afford to pay for the bills at home whilst I am away.

I’m not saying I will apply for this job role and be accepted but it is worth a try and at least then I can say I did it and I tried and that I haven’t just given up on my dreams.

The application process isn’t easy you have to apply for the job role once they’re recruiting and hope to be invited to an interview. After the interview you will have to complete a medical examination and fitness test in which you have to swim 50 meters in 2.5 minutes fully clothed after this if you pass you will be considered for the role.

As they’re not recruiting at the moment I plan on using my time to work on my swimming (yes I can swim) and to make sure I can swim the 50 meters in the recommended time but also to work on my overall fitness before applying. I do have experience in the Animal sector but I am also applying to become a dog walker for the RSPCA in the meantime to get my experience up.

So wish me luck! And I'll keep you all posted.
