My Top Five: Disney Movies

So I just had to do a Disney one with being such a Disney lover of course.

If you have come across my blog before your see that I have done one of these previously and you can see this "here" and have a nose through this was posted back at the end of 2014 when I was very new to blogging.

Now to narrow my list from Ten down to Five :

1. Pocahontas
Now this list is in no particular order and none of my Top Five's are but Pocahontas will always be at the top of any Disney list and will always remain my answer to "Whats your favorite Disney movie?"

The reason being is this is one of the first Disney movies that I watched when I was younger and fell head over heels in love with. Its not your average Disney Princess movie and it really grates on me when people say she isn't a princess well sorry guys she is and is the first American Disney Princess!

Anyways the movie is full of such great characters, songs and a cute romance between John Smith (hubba hubba) and Pocahontas plus who doesn't love Meeko?

2. Robin Hood
Anyone else this this movie is so under rated? Another great classic which I watched when I was younger. Its full of so many great little animal characters and I am a sucker for Maid Marian and Robin together.

3. Tangled
Punzie Punzie Punzie, I just love Rapunzel she is just such a down to earth character and so cheery considering her circumstances. It isn't just the movie I love but I have always love'd the fairy tale when I was younger. The movie has the most amazing soundtrack (Mother Know's Best) and the cutest characters like hello Maximus? Why are Disney Horses just the best!!! Not forgetting Pascal hehe!

So here comes probably the most unpopular opinion ever, I actually prefer this movie 100 times more than I like Frozen. Like don't get me wrong I like Frozen but its just everywhere and the craze hasn't died down since it was released.

4. Lady and The Tramp
What is not to like about this movie? Its cute, romantic and one of the best soundtracks of all times (in my opinion obviously). I just love Lady and Tramp together they're so different from each other but fit so perfectly. The movie is full of an amazing a ray of characters especially of the dogs in the pound and the Siamese cats ... We are Siamese if we please ;)

5. Alice in Wonderland
Its simple why I love this movie and its because its full of fun and excitable characters who are just so lovable maybe not all of them ;). Its just so crazy and wacky with a great story!

My Top Five: Places I Want to Visit

There is so many places I want to visit around the world but obviously money pays a big factor in this but here are five of the top places I would like to visit.

(These photos are not my own)
1. Tokyo
I really want to visit Japan for so many reasons and before you say Disneyland is there of course this is one of the reasons I want to go but not my only reason.

One of the main reasons I want to visit Tokyo is because of the culture, history and shrines. There are a lot of amazing gardens, buildings and history what I would love to go and explore some of the architect is just amazing and beautiful.

Obviously with being a massive lover of Hello Kitty I would love to be able to visit a Hello Kitty Cafe along with seeing the Studio Ghibli Museum. Fashion is another thing I would love out there but I don't have the right size to be able to purchase anything apart from tshirts and maybe dresses.

Not forgeting to cross of Disney from my bucket list ;)

2. Florida
Disney Disney Disney, Universal Studios, Bush Gardens, Sea World, Space Kennedy Centre, Jungle Island, Lowry Park Zoo and so many more things I would love to visit in Florida.

But the main reason for my visit would be Disney World and Universal Studios for the Harry Potter Wizarding World ;)

3. Australia
So Australia is somewhere that I would like to go for a long period of time to travel around the whole of it. Do a few days here and a few days there as it is such a massive place and such a long plane flight that you would want to make the most of it.

To narrow it down as there is so many areas to visit I would want to do all the touristy things but one thing I would most definitely want to do is visit the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary and hold a Koala bear as they're the cutest things ever and to visit a zoo to see the kangaroos and joey's.

Freakshakes at Patissez in Canberra would be another thing I would love to try and do as they look incredible they have just started doing similar things in the UK but these in Australia look amazing!

4. Amsterdam
Amsterdam is another beautiful city that is full of culture and history that I cannot wait to go and explore with my mum. My mum has been there before and I think that's where I get my lust to travel there from.

I really want to go and visit the Anne Frank museum that is there as I am a lover of history and I read the Anne Frank diary when I was younger and found it really interesting. There is so many other museums that I would love to visit like the Van Gogh museum and the Amsterdam Dungeons which is like the London Dungeons.

When my mum visited last time she brought back this amazing chocolate/caramel drink called Chocomel which I will have to bring loads back and I want some clogs!!!!!

5. Italy - Venice
I've never been to Italy at all but my dad has been so many times to Venice that after seeing all his photos its made me really want to go. Especially during the carnival season as the costumes and masks are just beautiful.

Another city that is beautiful and full of loads of amazing architect plus the city is on water? What else is there to like? A gonadal ride along the streets would be very romantic.

My Top Five: Places to Dine Out

Thought I would stray away from movies this week and get on to one of my other loves in life ... FOOD! I just love food they say you either eat to live or live to eat and I definitely live to eat.

1. Ed's Diner
I am an Ed's addicted where ever there is an Ed's Diner I will be there especially if I am in London to see a show or for a day trip.

They always do the most amazing milkshakes especially they're Nutella one which is to die for. Usually when I am there I will have one of they're burgers with sweet potato fries but on my last trip I swapped them for bacon cheese fries which were incredible and the pulled pork burger!

2. Chiquito's
I love Mexican food and a lot of people would probably moan about me liking they're food as its a chain or what not but I don't care I've always had great service and the food has always been great.

They do the best Chimichanga and Burritos with of course sweet potato fries ;) they have just released a new menu which I haven't managed to try yet but by looking at it it looks very yummy with lots of new foods on the menu.

3. Hobgoblin
So unless you live in Bristol I'm afraid you won't know this place but seriously if you happen to stray in to my neck of the woods then seriously check it out!

This pub used to be a complete dive but it got taken over by a new owner and transformed in to a great new place that sells burgers/drinks (by the end of this post your see a theme here) but what drew me to this place was the "Dirty Fries" which is essentially a big basket full of chips, pulled pork and 3 different types of cheese melted in to a massive gooeyness! Who doesn't like cheese and pulled pork?

They also do some pretty awesome burgers as well which with me being a bacon and peanut butter lover "The Wrong Burger" was just for me.

Just writing this and I'm having dirty fries withdraw symptoms!

4. Spitfire BBQ
Sorry guys another place that your only going to be able to try if you come to Bristol but if you love Ribs then this is the place to go! The sizes are huge like we ordered a medium rib and it was massive and we ended up taking a lot of it home with us cause it was too much too much to waste ;)

These are some of the best ribs I have ever tasted and I don't think anywhere will even come close to these as they're so thick and meaty with pork belly as well and the meat just falls right of the bone!

5. The Burger Joint
I love a good burger and what drew me to this place was that you create your own burger by filling in a tick sheet with what you along with sides as well. They do a variety of meats not just plain beef or chicken.

I had a venison burger which was cooked perfectly and my partner had a buffalo burger and by the time we had finished we were full to the brim.

My Top Five: Studio Ghibli Movies

So this weeks Top Five is all about Studio Ghibli have you heard of it? Well I hadn't until about 2013 when a friend of mine invited me over to watch some films and before heading over he asked me to pick up a movie called "Spirited Away" which I had never ever heard of! Now after watching this film which I LOVED he recommend some others and by the end of it I was HOOKED and I now own the whole collection on DVD.

I haven't really mentioned my love for Ghibli on here very much and I am not sure why because its my 2nd love after Disney so this why I chose this as my next post!

1. Spirited Away
Spirited Away has to be top on my list as mentioned above this was one of the first movies I watched from the Ghibli creators and the movie which got me hooked.

This film is full of so many amazing characters!

2. Howl's Moving Castle
Even though Spirited Away is above this one on my list this will always be my favorite out of the collection. Who doesn't just fall in love with Howl the moment you meet him? and Yes i am fully aware he is just an animated character ;)
(He's so BEAUTIFUL)
There is nothing I dislike about this movie everything is so bright and colorful and full of magic. It has the most amazing soundtrack as well which brings the movie alive.

3. From Up On Poppy Hill
This has to be one of the cutest films I've seen its just such a happy movie and you cannot help but smile all the way through along with the songs and soundtracks once again. Its a story about a school club house being saved from being demolished for the Japanese Olympics and the blossoming relationship of  Umi and Shun which is just so cute!

4. Kiki's Delivery Service
I haven't watched this is forever but its still one of the 1st few movies I watched by Ghibli and another movie that got me hooked. Its a cute fantasy story about a young witch called Kiki who leaves home to become independent and uses her flying skills to earn a living. Her companion Jiji is just the cutest!

5. My Neighbor Totoro
OK so whoever says they don't love Totoro is mad, who doesn't love a giant big cuddly ball of fluff along with a Cat Bus yes a bus that is a CAT! This movie is just filled with all types of cuteness and the sweetest story even though slightly sad at times.

What I love most about all of these movies are the stories they tell and the way they are animated along with the music it just sets the scene and each one of the movies not just the 5 mentioned above always have the most interesting magical stories which come alive when you watch them.

Whats your favorite?

My Top Five: Movies

Now this is a hard one for me because I love a lot of films so narrowing it down to my top five is very hard some of them might be collections of movies like the Harry Potter series or Hunger Games. I'm not going to include any cartoons or Disney Movies as these are ones I'll do in a separate post.

1. Harry Potter Series
I couldn't pick a single Harry Potter movie to choose, I am actually re watching them at the moment and how many times I've gone "Oh this is my favorite one" then the next movie starts and I'm like oh but I really like this one!

I have to say I watched the first 4 movies before reading the books but then with the 5th book I read this before watching the film. There is only one Harry Potter book I have never read and that is the "Goblet of Fire" because I over watched the movie so many times I got bored and couldn't bare to read the book!

I will say that out of the whole series I love "The Order of the Phoenix" and "The Prisoner of Azkaban" the most followed by "The Goblet of Fire"

2. Lord Of The Rings Series
Another series because once again I couldn't pick out of all 3 which one I love the most, I am a massive Lord Of The Rings nerd and know the movies of by heart after watching them probably 15 times Whoops!

I remember seeing all 3 of these in the cinema with my dad and my brother and falling in love with the story from the first movie with such an excellent cast, director and story what wasn't to like?

My favorite characters are Aragon and Legolas <3 they're the perfect bromance and I totally ship them!

3. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
Now if I love Lord of The Rings of course I'm going to love The Hobbit well especially as Martin Freeman is playing Bilbo Baggins and the fact the director actually waited until he was free to film this movie as that's who they always wanted to play him!

Now you might ask why I haven't picked the whole series? Well because I didn't actually like all of the 3 films I only liked 2 of them. I think the 1st installment was the best out of them purely because they kept to the story and followed the book. With the 2nd film they started to add bits and stray from the story line before on getting back on track for the final installment which I did really enjoy.

4. Breakfast At Tiffany's
The first time I watched with movie was when I was in New York on our final evening before coming home and since then I have fallen in LOVE with Audrey! I've always known who she is as she is an icon all over the world but after seeing this movie that was it.

What I love about this movie is obviously its set in New York but mostly Audrey she was such a kind, lovely, funny girl. She plays the role so well and the way she comes off in all her movies. Her voice as well I just love it!

5. Divergent
Now this was a tough one between the Hunger Games which I LOVE and Divergent because they're both such good movie series. They're similar in a few ways regarding the storys but different in so many other ways.

So far I have love'd both of the movies with the 3rd one coming out in March I am a little worried how good its going to be but the new trailer released a few days a go looks amazing. I love the relationship between Beatrice and Tobias and the way it develops through the 1st two films.

My Top Five: Concerts/Gigs

So this weeks topic is my Top Five concerts and gigs that I've been to. I used to do a lot more than I do now If I am honest because since moving out I've become a bit more strapped for cash which is a shame. I usually go on all my adventures with my best friend Samiee aka Blondie hehe!

1. Katy Perry - California Dreams Tour - 1st April 2011 and October 19th 2011
I have been a massive Katy Cat since she made her debut back in 2008 even though I didn't mange to see her 1st tour Hello Katy as I was young and didn't have a job to buy the tickets I have always been a lover of her music so to get to see her twice in one year was amazing! What was so great about this tour was that even though it was the same she changed her outfits from the first time I saw her!

What is so great about this tour is that its all Katy, her imagination come to life. It has a great story line and great costumes, characters and even with seeing it twice I didn't get bored!

2. Katy Perry - Prismatic World Tour - 23rd May 2014
So when Katy brought out her new album Prism I knew already before that I would be getting tickets to see her on tour regardless of where it is I was going. Katy's style of music has changed since her first two albums but it has changed for the better.

When she announced she was having a special reflection section that was it I was having those tickets and it was so worth it. I would have paid for a meet and greet but once again she didn't do one which was a shame!
This tour definitely topped the California Dreams tour regardless of  how good it was this one was better. The show was split in to 4 different sections which had different themes and features selections of the songs. Once again it was like being inside Katys head she has such an awesome Imagination and made the experience so much fun just a shame she isn't doing a 2nd stint as I would love to go again!

3. Miley Cyrus - Bangerz Tour - May 2014
This has to be one of the craziest tours I've been to, total madness but so brilliant! I've always been a massive Miley fan even before she changed her personality and looks and its never really bothered me because her music has always been good.

I absolutely loved her album Bangerz so to get to see her in the UK on her short tour was an absolute treat and worth every penny regardless of what people think of her!

4.  Sam Smith - October 2014
I was so lucky to manage to get tickets for this tour! Due to popular demand he added an extra London date for the end of his tour in his home town so was able to pick up some tickets for my birthday. All I can say is wow hearing him live in concert was one of the best things ever, he has such an incredible voice and vocal range and the way he interacted with the crowd was great.

He didn't need flashy back ground drops, story or props his voice was just enough and I cannot wait to see him again when he releases a new album.

5. Blue -  October 2013
Another blast from the past aye, Big fan of Blue and always have been and after bringing out they're new album Roulette which was really good slight change in style of music but all the songs were great and catchy. My bestie hadn't actually listened to the album before we went but what was so great about this tour was that they managed to play they're whole new album along with loads of classics.
