Movies I'm Looking Forward To: 2016

Once again 2016 looks like its going to be another great year for movies, we are already at the end of February and we've had some great movies already released with so many more to come especially from Marvel and Disney.

My list for this year is already pretty big and that isn't including any that have yet to be announced, my list does include ones that I haven't yet managed to watch since the year has started.

Disney:
Yup we all know I am a massive Disney fan so to see that Disney are releasing so many movies this year makes me jump with joy. Its safe to say there are a few I am really looking forward to seeing and a few I'm not to sure.
  • Zootopia - Dead excited for this one, the Sloth from the trailers looks hilarious ha!
  • The Jungle Book - OK so I am not 100% sure if I am looking forward to this movie or not only because from what I've seen of the trailers the CGI looks a bit odd with the voice overs but we shall see
  • Alice Through The Looking Glass
  • Finding Dory
  • The BFG
  • Petes Dragon
  • Mona
  • Star Wars: Rouge One
Marvel:
And yes before you say I know Marvel is owned now by Disney which is just amazing. Another crazy year for movies but out of all the ones Civil War is the one I'm most excited for!
  • Deadpool
  • Captain America: Civil War - Cannot wait for this since it was announced and we seen the teasers although I love them both I am #TeamCap
  • X-Men: Apocalypse
  • Gambit
  • Doctor Strange
Other:
  • Kung Fu Panda
  • The Conjuring 2
  • Divergent 3
  • The Secret Life of Pets - This is another movie I am really looking forward to and I've been waiting since 2015 when they released the teaser trailer for this to get an announcement.
  • Mutant Ninja Turtles 2
  • Tarzan
  • Bad Neighbors 2
  • My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 - So I totally never knew this was even coming out until a few days ago so this will be interesting to see how it goes with it being the same characters and 14 years down the line.
  • Angry Birds
  • The Huntsman Winters War
  • Zoolander
  • Suicide Squad
  • Batman Vs Superman
What movies are you most excited to see this year?

My Top Five: Places to Dine Out

Thought I would stray away from movies this week and get on to one of my other loves in life ... FOOD! I just love food they say you either eat to live or live to eat and I definitely live to eat.

1. Ed's Diner
I am an Ed's addicted where ever there is an Ed's Diner I will be there especially if I am in London to see a show or for a day trip.

They always do the most amazing milkshakes especially they're Nutella one which is to die for. Usually when I am there I will have one of they're burgers with sweet potato fries but on my last trip I swapped them for bacon cheese fries which were incredible and the pulled pork burger!

2. Chiquito's
I love Mexican food and a lot of people would probably moan about me liking they're food as its a chain or what not but I don't care I've always had great service and the food has always been great.

They do the best Chimichanga and Burritos with of course sweet potato fries ;) they have just released a new menu which I haven't managed to try yet but by looking at it it looks very yummy with lots of new foods on the menu.

3. Hobgoblin
So unless you live in Bristol I'm afraid you won't know this place but seriously if you happen to stray in to my neck of the woods then seriously check it out!

This pub used to be a complete dive but it got taken over by a new owner and transformed in to a great new place that sells burgers/drinks (by the end of this post your see a theme here) but what drew me to this place was the "Dirty Fries" which is essentially a big basket full of chips, pulled pork and 3 different types of cheese melted in to a massive gooeyness! Who doesn't like cheese and pulled pork?

They also do some pretty awesome burgers as well which with me being a bacon and peanut butter lover "The Wrong Burger" was just for me.

Just writing this and I'm having dirty fries withdraw symptoms!

4. Spitfire BBQ
Sorry guys another place that your only going to be able to try if you come to Bristol but if you love Ribs then this is the place to go! The sizes are huge like we ordered a medium rib and it was massive and we ended up taking a lot of it home with us cause it was too much too much to waste ;)

These are some of the best ribs I have ever tasted and I don't think anywhere will even come close to these as they're so thick and meaty with pork belly as well and the meat just falls right of the bone!

5. The Burger Joint
I love a good burger and what drew me to this place was that you create your own burger by filling in a tick sheet with what you along with sides as well. They do a variety of meats not just plain beef or chicken.

I had a venison burger which was cooked perfectly and my partner had a buffalo burger and by the time we had finished we were full to the brim.

My Top Five: Studio Ghibli Movies

So this weeks Top Five is all about Studio Ghibli have you heard of it? Well I hadn't until about 2013 when a friend of mine invited me over to watch some films and before heading over he asked me to pick up a movie called "Spirited Away" which I had never ever heard of! Now after watching this film which I LOVED he recommend some others and by the end of it I was HOOKED and I now own the whole collection on DVD.

I haven't really mentioned my love for Ghibli on here very much and I am not sure why because its my 2nd love after Disney so this why I chose this as my next post!

1. Spirited Away
Spirited Away has to be top on my list as mentioned above this was one of the first movies I watched from the Ghibli creators and the movie which got me hooked.

This film is full of so many amazing characters!

2. Howl's Moving Castle
Even though Spirited Away is above this one on my list this will always be my favorite out of the collection. Who doesn't just fall in love with Howl the moment you meet him? and Yes i am fully aware he is just an animated character ;)
(He's so BEAUTIFUL)
There is nothing I dislike about this movie everything is so bright and colorful and full of magic. It has the most amazing soundtrack as well which brings the movie alive.

3. From Up On Poppy Hill
This has to be one of the cutest films I've seen its just such a happy movie and you cannot help but smile all the way through along with the songs and soundtracks once again. Its a story about a school club house being saved from being demolished for the Japanese Olympics and the blossoming relationship of  Umi and Shun which is just so cute!

4. Kiki's Delivery Service
I haven't watched this is forever but its still one of the 1st few movies I watched by Ghibli and another movie that got me hooked. Its a cute fantasy story about a young witch called Kiki who leaves home to become independent and uses her flying skills to earn a living. Her companion Jiji is just the cutest!

5. My Neighbor Totoro
OK so whoever says they don't love Totoro is mad, who doesn't love a giant big cuddly ball of fluff along with a Cat Bus yes a bus that is a CAT! This movie is just filled with all types of cuteness and the sweetest story even though slightly sad at times.

What I love most about all of these movies are the stories they tell and the way they are animated along with the music it just sets the scene and each one of the movies not just the 5 mentioned above always have the most interesting magical stories which come alive when you watch them.

Whats your favorite?

Disneyland Paris 2017: My Next Trip

You will never go on a Disney holiday and not come away planning your next or even actually planning your next trip when your already there!

So a few days ago I finally finished my ultimate Disney bucket list and you can see this here if you haven't already and my plan is to hopefully complete it all. Now my dream would be to visit Disneyworld in Florida and in Tokyo but at this moment in my life the costs to go here are just to much so I plan to try and complete my Disneyland Paris section of my Bucket list first.

So far I have completed 4/8 on my list and I'm hoping to cross off another 2 in this next trip I'm planning along with 2/3 from my "Other Section".

So anyone who loves Disney will know that next year on the 12th April 2017 Disneyland Paris will be turning 25 years old which means that there will be a long period of celebration like they did with the 20th Celebrations in 2012 which was extended until September 2013.

During this period we saw a new revamped version of the Disney's Magic On Parade along with the first viewing of Disney Dreams which has continued to be shown at park closing ever since. There was also a special anniversary train and lots of Main Street USA Celebrations.

Nobody at the moment knows what will be happening during the 25th Anniversary season until a little later in the year but as I turn 25 in September 2017 I am currently planning my next trip and what a more fitting time to go?

So far my plans are ...

Princess/Prince Lunch
So both times I have wanted to go and have lunch with the Disney Princesses and a Prince but on both my last trips neither of them were that fussed about going due to the cost and the food but luckily my lovely bestie who is coming this time is totally up for this.

At the moment the plan is to come here on my actual birthday and to have one of the Disney cakes to make it even more special. Whilst your here you get to meet 3 princesses and one of they're princes along with Suzy and Peril the two mice from Cinderella.

Me and Emma are hoping that it will be Cinderella as obviously its her home along with Punzie who is my favoruite and Belle who is Emma's. The cast members usually bring the cake out and sing happy birthday and it has been known that sometimes the princesses will come and join in which would be amazing!

Cafe Mickey
After visiting Cafe Mickey for the first time in 2014 and then again in 2015 I feel that I have to go back again in 2017 because its such a great experience and so much fun meeting characters whilst your eating your food. I would like to try Inventions but a lot of people have said for the food you get and the cost its not that great but the character meets are amazing.

Maybe were do both? Who knows?

Princess Pavilion
Once again another thing I have yet to experience as the last time I went I didn't know that you had to que for tickets when the park opened in the morning and this time my boyfriend didn't actually want to wait for them so once again Emma is happy enough to do this with me!!!

At the moment in Disney they are trailing a new system with the Pavilion and its currently only Aurora from Sleeping Beauty there which I would not wait in line for as she is not one of my favorites. For now this is on my list depending on how things go over the next few months at Disney.

It would be better if they had certain meet and greet points for the other princesses as for now you can only meet them at the princess lunch or Tiana in her meet and greet down by the Riverboat landing.

Character Hunting
I love love love meeting characters and its something that I love doing whilst visiting Disney. So on one of our days we plan to just meet characters and watch all the shows and parades then we can do rides and that on our other days.

DLP have made it a lot easier at the moment to meet some of the characters by actually giving them meet and greet sections along with times as well. Where as before you used to just have to be in the right place at the right time which is fun I guess but I never ever seem to be haha!

So that is the plan for now but we cannot book anything yet until flights are available for September 2017 which is a long way of yet but a girl can plan right? We know we are definitely going for 4 days and 5 nights and staying in one of the budget hotels but need to wait and see what offers are on.

So now to wait until September, once its all booked I'll update you again! I am so excited!!

My Top Five: Movies

Now this is a hard one for me because I love a lot of films so narrowing it down to my top five is very hard some of them might be collections of movies like the Harry Potter series or Hunger Games. I'm not going to include any cartoons or Disney Movies as these are ones I'll do in a separate post.

1. Harry Potter Series
I couldn't pick a single Harry Potter movie to choose, I am actually re watching them at the moment and how many times I've gone "Oh this is my favorite one" then the next movie starts and I'm like oh but I really like this one!

I have to say I watched the first 4 movies before reading the books but then with the 5th book I read this before watching the film. There is only one Harry Potter book I have never read and that is the "Goblet of Fire" because I over watched the movie so many times I got bored and couldn't bare to read the book!

I will say that out of the whole series I love "The Order of the Phoenix" and "The Prisoner of Azkaban" the most followed by "The Goblet of Fire"

2. Lord Of The Rings Series
Another series because once again I couldn't pick out of all 3 which one I love the most, I am a massive Lord Of The Rings nerd and know the movies of by heart after watching them probably 15 times Whoops!

I remember seeing all 3 of these in the cinema with my dad and my brother and falling in love with the story from the first movie with such an excellent cast, director and story what wasn't to like?

My favorite characters are Aragon and Legolas <3 they're the perfect bromance and I totally ship them!

3. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
Now if I love Lord of The Rings of course I'm going to love The Hobbit well especially as Martin Freeman is playing Bilbo Baggins and the fact the director actually waited until he was free to film this movie as that's who they always wanted to play him!

Now you might ask why I haven't picked the whole series? Well because I didn't actually like all of the 3 films I only liked 2 of them. I think the 1st installment was the best out of them purely because they kept to the story and followed the book. With the 2nd film they started to add bits and stray from the story line before on getting back on track for the final installment which I did really enjoy.

4. Breakfast At Tiffany's
The first time I watched with movie was when I was in New York on our final evening before coming home and since then I have fallen in LOVE with Audrey! I've always known who she is as she is an icon all over the world but after seeing this movie that was it.

What I love about this movie is obviously its set in New York but mostly Audrey she was such a kind, lovely, funny girl. She plays the role so well and the way she comes off in all her movies. Her voice as well I just love it!

5. Divergent
Now this was a tough one between the Hunger Games which I LOVE and Divergent because they're both such good movie series. They're similar in a few ways regarding the storys but different in so many other ways.

So far I have love'd both of the movies with the 3rd one coming out in March I am a little worried how good its going to be but the new trailer released a few days a go looks amazing. I love the relationship between Beatrice and Tobias and the way it develops through the 1st two films.

Disney: Alphabet Tag!

I love this tag, the rules are as simple as using the letters of your name to answers the questions. Obviously the answer to the questions must correspond with the letter of your name.

As my full name is Imogen I will be using this for the tag, so for example for the first question the answer will have to begin with an "I". If your name is longer than the number of questions just go back to the start and answer the first question again.

I M O G E N

A Character - I
Iago - Aladdin

A Song - M
Make A Man Out Of You - Mulan

A Setting - O
Outlands - Lion King

A Villain - G
Gaston - Beauty and The Beast

A Favorite Scene - E
Everybody Wants To Be A Cat - The Aristocats

A Film - N

Pinocchio, its always been a classic story and one that I have loved since I was little. "I'm a real boy"

3. What is you least favourite film of the era?
Probably a very unpopular opinion and it has to be Fantasia, don't get me wrong what I've seen of this movie is great but I haven't managed to get to the end of therefore this is the only reason why.
